Iqbal House

Named For
Allama Iqbal
Poet-philosopher of the East, whose Urdu and Persian verse remains foundational to the literary life of the subcontinent and whose thought helped shape the idea of a separate homeland for the Muslims of British India.
The house takes his name for the standard he set of intellectual seriousness and the moral weight he asked poetry to carry.
